The Pilgrims were a religious group from England who felt that the only way to properly practice their religion was to separate from the Church of England. So, they courageously left Europe on the Mayflower and came to America. The Pilgrims survived a complicated journey in order the land of promise. They endured many discomforts including jam-packed living conditions, seasickness, an insufficient diet, brutal storms, and waves of icy water that chilled them to the bone.
