Krugerrand South Africa Coin
April 16th, 2008
The Parliament building in Cape Town, the Anglican Church on Robben Island, and the entryway to the Johannesburg Museum in Africa form the setting for the Krugerrand reproductions on the obverse of this breathtaking commemorative coin. The first bullion coin of its kind, the Krugerrand has been minted since 1967 at the Pretoria Mint using the same motif. The original bullion coin is made from afull ounce of 22 karat gold and is named for Paul Kruger, former president of South Africa, whose portrait is featured on the obverse. You can order them at this site.
